    Das Problem ist doch folgendes: Um die Third-Party-Flasher-Industrie auszuschalten haben die alles so kompliziert gemacht, dass ihre eigene Hard-/Software (zu) oft die Segeln streichen lassen muss.


    Dieser Satz befindet sich seit Herbst 2001 so ziemlich in jedem Software-Update-Package:

    Die sollten ganz einfach folgendes machen: Jedes Phone bekommt einen unveränderbaren Boot-Loader mit dem sich der Flash-Modus immer starten läßt. Dann gibt ein für den Kunden ein USB-Kabel mit dem er die Software selbst flashen kann. Die Software wird natürlich verschlüsselt und mit einer kryptographischen Signatur gegen Manipulationen geschützt. Selbst wenn der Kunde jetzt während des Software-Updates den Stecker zieht, kann er das Update neu starten.


    Das wäre ein modernes Servicekonzept und die Garantiebetrügereien à la Bluetel würden aufhören!

    -If a topic for CB is set on and this gives a running text on screen in idle mode and you afterwards turned off CB then the current rest of text is not displayed
    -If a message is sent by using the number from phonebook (or from Dialed numbers/ Received Calls/ Missed Calls) the same message can be sent again to a new number.
    -One new character added into the special character screen (by pressing star-key while creating a SMS). The new character is an arrow and used to force the cursor to next line when writing a SMS.
    -The Unicode paragraph separator (0x2029) was shown as a square when reading a received message. Now this character is treated as a carriage returns (a new line character).

    -An emergency number is not accepted as a voice mailbox number
    -After typing in some digits in idle mode left soft key is changed to Options. Options submenu includes Save, Convert and Call options.
    -PIN 2 code is requested only once when FDN list is edited or deleted
    -When selecting Manual network search when moving (in a car or a train) and then selecting an operator which is out of reach the phone stops requesting after 90 seconds and prompts the user for a new selection.
    -When entering a bookmark in Services menu the query starts up in lowercase mode instead of upper case
    -Improvements in the stopwatch timer: Restore Factory settings function resets also stopwatch if activated before restoring
    -Countdown timer alert time-out optimised
    -When a reminder expires and the phone is not in idle mode the alarm tone is always possible to stop by pressing any key.
    -The text buffer for Confirmation query to confirm SIM service actions is extended from 66 to 88 bytes
