While at a mobile industry press event in New York City tonight, I stumbled (literally) upon the new Samsung SGH-T809 for T-Mobile USA, a super thin and sleek slider handset with a drop dead gorgeous display. This is a phone that could grab the market's attention in just the way that Motorola's RAZR did.
The T809 is equipped with a megapixel digital camera and a fully loaded Bluetooth system. The 262k color display is really bright and nice to look at, too. There is even a TransFlash/microSD memory card slot on the side. But the thing that makes this phone so nice is the body itself. It is so thin, smooth operating, and just damn fine looking.
The unofficial word is that we can expect to see a formal announcement for this phone in November of this year. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Motorola today received FCC approval for a second 3G phone based on what is now called the V3x. The E1070 is a relatively slim clamshell with GMS/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100. It includes many of the same features as the V3x such as dual color displays, Bluetooth (including advanced audio and printing profiles), a MicroSD (TransFlash) slot, audio player, Motorola's new Linux / Java OS and dual cameras. However the E1070 only has a 1.3 Megapixel external camera. Motorola has not yet announced the E1070, so availability is not yet known, however it is unlikely to come to the US in this configuration.

Doch das Teil wurde mal hier im Board besprochen, damals allerdings als "upcoming" UMTS Slider für Vodafone, welches nie kam...zum Glück :p

Kann einer der Händler schon einen Liefertermin zu besagtem Gerät nennen?
Hatte es am WE in Polen im Laden gesehen, dort soll es am Freitag in den Verkauf gehen, da können wir doch nicht nachstehen :p
