All songs were encoded MP3, FYI the file data:

Initial file (caused skipping somewhere around 1m25s)

    Size: 4022765 bytes
    Header found at: 1034 bytes
    Length: 251 seconds
    MPEG 1.0 layer 3
    128kbit, 9644 frames
    44100Hz Joint Stereo
    CRCs: No
    Copyrighted: No
    Original: Yes
    Emphasis: None

After recoding (MP3 -> WAVE -> MP3) (now this works all fine)

    Size: 4021731 bytes
    Header found at: 0 bytes
    Length: 251 seconds
    MPEG 1.0 layer 3
    128kbit, 9644 frames
    44100Hz Joint Stereo
    CRCs: No
    Copyrighted: No
    Original: Yes
    Emphasis: None

The only thing that differs is the "header found at" I know the header containts the information where the ID3V2 tag is stored. So it LOOKS you can solve the problem by deleting the ID3V2 header (very easy in Winamp, Win XP, see my other posting in this thread).

Now I only hope my baby doesn't suffer from overheating :D (see the Russian article).

As far as I understand the problem, the errors occurs always at the same moment in time.
    So, lets say:
Track 1, 3min50 - plays totally fine (and always fine)
Track 2, 2min45 - plays fine till 1m15s and then skippes (and always skippes)
Track 3, 2min23 - plays totally fine (and always fine)
Track 4, 3min34 - plays fine till 2m43s and then skippes (and always skippes)

I had this problem on my N6230 V03.15 with a 128mb MMC from SanDisk. What I did is converting Track 2 and Track 4 from MP3 to WAVE, then back to MP3 and uploaded them to the phone. Then it all worked fine, and it still works fine!

I was thinking about this solution as well.
For the ones who don't know how to do this:

1: Download Winamp (free from this site).
2: Add your MP3's to the playlist (easy by clicking the 'Add Folder' button)
3: Select the song you want to delete the file info from and press ALT + 3 (or right mouse click, 'View file info'). Now you can edit / detele the file info.

For the ones that do not want to download Winamp and have Win XP.
Select the MP3 you want to edit in the Windows Explorer / Eigene Dateien folder.
Right mouse click and choose 'Properties'. In the second tab (Summary), click 'Advanced >>>' Now you are able to see and edit the metadata of the file. To delete / edit an entry simply click on it with the mouse.

NOTE: I AM NOT SURE WHETHER THIS IS A CORRECT WORK-AROUND FOR SOLVING THE MP3 PLAYER SKIPPING PROBLEM.

    Sure!

    De-coding I did as follows:

Download Winamp from this location (you only need the regular version, that's a free edition).
Install the program, select whether you want to make it your default player, and then start the program. Now add the files you want to de-code in the playlist (very easy, just Drag & Drop with your mouse).
Now you go to the 'Options' menu and choose 'Preferences' (or simply press String/Control + P from the main program).
Now go to Plug-Ins -> Output in the left menu bar, the default choise is 'Direct Sound out'. This you change to 'Nullsoft Diskwriter plugin'.
Click 'Close' and click 'Play' in the main program. Winamp is now converting all your files to the WAVE format to the selected location.

    So far so good.

Now you need a re-coder to recode the WAVE files back to MP3.
You can do so with this program (MP3 to WAVE goes as well, but I prefer Winamp instead because it can do more than one file at the same time). Anyway: select your WAVE file as input, select 'code to MP3' as output, select the bitrate (say 128kbps) and click Finish.

Your files are now ready to transfer to the N6230. This worked in my case. It may sound very complicated but the programs are easy to understand and it takes only a few minutes once you have the right tools.
    Good luck with it!

EDIT: You can use other programs instead, Nero Burning Rom for example. If you still have any questions, freel free to ask for help.

When de-coded to a WAVE file all the MP3 Metadata (as album title, date, etc, etc) are lost. I have a vague suspicion that the phone has problems with this additional information. In my case, songs were skipped at about the same time (e.g. 1m25s), each time I played them. After de-coding and then en-coding, it works without any problems (N6230 V03.15 / 128 MMC SanDisk).

    Philip.

    Sorry for writing in English.

I know how to solve your problem:

1: First, check which songs are skipped when they are played (write the names down or something).
2: Transfer ONLY these songs back to your PC (or use the original files on your PC if you still have a back up!!).
3: Convert the MP3's your transferred to a WAVE file (this can be done with lots of (free) programs, like Winamp).
4: Convert the WAVE file to an MP3 file (no AAC, whatsoever). For this purpose, also lots of (free) programs exist (search Google, etc).
5: Transfer the NEW MP3 back to the N6230.

    Everything should work OK now!!!
I know it sounds rather complicated but once you have the right software it does not take longer than a few minutes per track.
Good luck and enjoy your 6230!

Tea cannot be made with the Senseo because the water is not hot enough and the water is going thru the pad under high pressure. When doing this with tea you would get a cup with foam; not very tasty if you ask me.
Douwe Egberts is already selling tea in the Netherlands under the Pickwick brand and they will not harm their own market.
