The FCC today approved the LG F9100, a new GSM phone with a focus on IM (instant messaging) and text messaging. The phone features a unique QWERTY text keyboard that slides out from the side of the phone. Photos available on the FCC web site show the device with Cingular branding. Other key features of the F9100 include an internal antenna, world roaming, and a color display.
