Vodafone D2 Germany | GRPS

  • Hi,
I apologize for the post in English and for any errors ..
but since they are Italian, I do not know German! :-(
I compliment the activities of the forum and I take this opportunity to have some clarification on VODAFONE D2 in germany.

I have my girl in germany and she uses VD-D2.
I wanted to know the charges GPRS, volume and time, that VD-D2 provides .. (NO FLAT!)

For example, in Italy you can choose whether to have a tariff (GPRS / UMTS) calculated based on a time or volume (actual traffic exchanged in KB).

For the price you pay to volume 0.6 cents / per 1 KB exchanged.
Very convenient for sending text messages via gprs! ;)

Now move on to questions: D

    1. The situation in germany with VD-D2 what?
    2. What can I do to my girlfriend to learn and know the type of pricing on the internet that has its simcard?

Thanks for any answers, and congratulations again!

    Nicola

  • Vodafone has extremely high data tariffs.

Tell your girlfriend to get a "solomo pro" SIM-card (prepaid), through which she can call Italy for 9 ct/min (fixed network) or 29 ct/min (mobile networks), send SMS to Italy for 14 ct/min and data costs 24 ct/MB (billed in 10KB-increments). And when she visits you in Italy incoming calls cost 10ct/min and outgoing calls to German and Italian fixed phones are charged with 29ct/min while calls to mobile phones in both countries cost 49ct/min.
So with solomo pro she would not only have cheap data, but also cheap national and international rates, so she could also call you sometimes directly from the mobile phone.

    terminals: Nokia E71, N95-1, 1200, 6150 in Auto-FSE, Motorola F3, Benq Siemens S68, Sierra Wireless MC8775 (in Asus V2Je), Huawei EM770 (in Eee PC 901 GO), Huawei K3715, Huawei E169
    postpaid: O2 IP100 + IPM (3 MCs), O2 active data + IPL, T-Mobile Relax 50
prepaid: DE: solomo pro, congstar, simyo, Vodafone, O2 Loop, Tchibo; UK: T-Mobile, Vodafone; BG: MTel, Globul, vivatel, Petrol Mobile; INT'L: United Mobile +423 mit Datenoption, United Mobile +44, SIM4Travel

  • Suppose I go with Vodafone D2 connect with GPRS connection with APN: volume.d2gprs.de

When you pay if I charge volume / time?

    Thank you

  • Vodafone GPRS in current CallYa-plans e.g. CallYa Comfort 2.0, CallYa Compact):
0,20 Euro (per 10 KB increment) + 0,06 Euro (for each hour a data session has been established) = min. € 20,06/MB = 8233% more expensive than solomo pro

Vodafone GPRS in old CallYa-plans (Red, Blue und White):
0,30 Euro (per 10 KB increment) + 0,06 Euro (for each hour a data session has been established) = min. € 30,06/MB = 12400% more expensive than solomo pro
