    ITU Telecom: Panasonic bringt Kamerahandy X70

    Matsushita stellt heute auf der ITU TELECOM in Genf sein neues MMS-Kamerahandy X70 vor. Das Klappschalen-Telefon ist mit einem TFT-Display ausgestattet, das 65.536 Farben darstellt. Die Kamera verfügt über ein Blitzlicht; ein Bluetooth-Modul ist integriert. Der interne Speicher fasst 4 MB in den Formaten JPEG und PNG, Verkaufsstart für Europa ist noch in diesem Herbst.


    Das X70 ist nach Herstellerangaben 20 Prozent kleiner als sein Vorgänger, das GD87. Die Abmessungen betragen 87 x 47 x 23,9 mm bei einem Gewicht von 92 Gramm. Der Akku soll bei Sprachnutzung 1,5 Stunden durchhalten, die Standby-Zeit ist mit 75 Stunden angegeben.

    Siemens Mobile Entwicklung geht an Infineon/ Xelibri vor dem aus


    Siemens-Beschäftigte befürchten Ende für Mobile Phones in Deutschland


    Mit großer Sorge haben die Beschäftigten bei Siemens Mobile Phones gestern die Nachricht aufgenommen, dass die Entwicklung von Protokoll Stacks für UMTS und GSM Handys an Comneon, eine Tochter des Chipherstellers Infineon übergeben wurde. Wie de.internet.com aus gewerkschaftsnahen Kreisen erfahren hat, fragt man sich in der Niederlassung Salzgitter, ob dies der Anfang vom Ende für die Mobile Phones-Sparte des Technologiekonzerns in seiner jetzigen Form in Deutschland ist.


    In der Presse wird schon länger spekuliert, dass Mobile Phones entweder verkauft, oder in ein Joint Venture nach dem Vorbild von Siemens Fujitsu umgebaut werde soll. Als mögliche Partner sind die japanische NEC und Lucky Goldstar (LG) aus Südkorea im Gespräch. Auch eine komplette Verlagerung der Entwicklung nach China ist denkbar; dort werden bereits entsprechende Entwicklungszentren aufgebaut.


    Die Modehandys Xelibri (Preis zwischen 200 und 400 Euro) dürften vor dem Aus stehen. Die im April von Siemens auf den Markt gebrachten Luxus-Handys, die zuerst exklusiv über Modeboutiquen vertrieben wurden, werden seit September in Billigmärkten wie Saturn verramscht.


    Von dem Ausstieg aus der Entwicklung für Protokoll Stacks (wir berichteten) sind 91 Mitarbeiter in Salzgitter, 45 Beschäftigte in München (MGA) und neun Ingenieure in Berlin betroffen. Der Verkauf soll schon bis zum 1. Dezember abgewickelt sein. Comneon sei zudem nicht tarifgebunden, dass heißt die Unterhöhlung des Flächentarifvertrags geht munter weiter, berichten die Gewerkschaftler weiter.

    Denke das ist allen klar gewesen. Wobei Ihr das Dingen auch gerne wieder Sharp nennen könnt, J-Phone ist nur ein Provider (ok, heisst ja jetzt Vodafone K.K.). Und Sharp gibt es hier ja auch bei Voda... Und so ein Akt ist das mit dem GSM-Umbau auch nicht mehr, da geht es eher um Margen, Abnahme, etc., halt um Geld (in Europa)!
