Dauer der Garantie für Festplatten

[EDIT] Seit 1. Oktober gibt es nur noch 1 Jahr Garantie auf Festplatten mit 2MB Cache, die Versionen mit 8MB Cache haben weiterhin 3 Jahre Vollgarantie. (Ich habe diesen Thread aus einem anderen herausgelöst, da es ein eigenes, komplexes Thema darstellt. :))[/EDIT]

Meinen Informationen nach ist das inzwischen bei allen Herstellern so; bei WesternDigital weiss ich es 100% sicher.

Das ist in jüngerer Vergangenheit geändert worden; die Support-Seiten der Hersteller lassen sich dazu natürlich bewusst kleingedruckt ein. Kann also gut sein, dass Deine Platte (noch) drei Jahre Garantie hat.

Ich begebe mich mal auf die Suche und poste das Ergenbis in diesen Thread :).

Die genannte "Special Edition" hat 8MB Cache, alle anderen Platten 2MB.

EDIT2: Für Europa gibt es eine Sonderregeglung:

Die meisten Platten in D sind aber bulkware mit der besagten 1-Jahres-Garantie.

Wie gesagt, bei uns haben nur die retailverpackten Versionen 2 Jahre Garantie. Die Anzahl selbiger ist mehr als dürftig...
