Ja, lass das Gerät eine Weile liegen. Das dauert etwas. Ich war anfangs auch etwas geschockt

Ich habe es mal gekauft.

Das Programm kann dann per Download nochmal auf die Festplatte und demzufolge dann auch auf eine andere MMC.

Die readme-Datei sagt folgendes:

1. If you have the original MMC (Multimedia Memory Card) in your Nokia 6600 phone and can see the Try&Buy folder in phone's menu with the application you bought the key for, you don't have to install either of these files. Just insert the application key when asked for.

2. If you got the original MMC card with your 6600 phone but replaced it with another memory card, install both files; first the AKM.sis file, then the application.sis file to the memory card.

3. If you have the original MMC card but removed the application you want to use now, install the application.sis file to the memory card, not the AKM.sis file.

4. If you didn't get a MMC card with the phone when you bought it, please install both files; first the AKM.sis file, then the application.sis file to the memory card.

Possible error messages:

* Try&Buy folder says "(no data)". You have changed the MMC card to a normal memory card. Install both AKM.sis and application.sis files to the new memory card.
* Application Key Manager Corrupted! Exiting application. You don't have the Application Kay Manager installed in your phone. Install the ApplicationKeyManager_3.0.8.SIS file.
* This application key is alread in use. Please enter new key. You entered a key you already used for another application. Please buy a new key.
* You have done everything right, but can't see the application anywhere. Reboot the phone.
* Language independent resources are not installed correctly. The program will be terminated.
You have not installed all application files. Please, make sure that you have installed all the application files from the zip file you downloaded from Softwaremarket’s page.
* Application is untrusted and may have problems. Install only if you trust provider.
Press yes.
* Application may not be compatible with phone. Quit installation?
If you have a Nokia 6600 phone and you are installing one of the MMC applications, you can say ‘No’ and continue the installation.

Yep, bieten fast alle aktuelle Handys. Bisher habe ich es aber nur in Irland erlebt, da wurde dann automatisch die Zeit gestellt. Eigentlich eine feine Sache. Autoradios können ja auch die interne Uhr per RDS-Empfang stellen.
Tja die deutschen Netzbetreiber halten allerdings nicht soviel von Service

Ich verstehe manchmal immer noch nicht, was an Standby-Zeiten von 2-3 Tagen auszusetzen ist, wenn das Handy/Smartphone dafür mit hellem/brillantem Display und weiterer Ausstattung rüberkommt.

Ich lebe zwar auf dem Land, aber Strom gibts hier auch an jeder Ecke. Zur Not lade ich im Auto auf.

Okay also mit Preisvorteil. Schon verstanden. Aber dennoch muß es ja die Möglichkeit geben, die Software nochmal downloaden zu können.
P.S. Habe es noch nicht großartig ausprobiert (zumindest keine Langzeiterfahrung), ist der Wortschatz ausreichend, also guter Ersatz für einen elektronischen Translator?

Wie heisst das Sytem denn genau? Die THB Seite ist da etwas verwirrend bzgl. der Unterschiede.
Als Wechselhalter sollte es sein, aber da kommen ja anscheinend verschieden Systeme von denen in Betracht. :confused:

Die Try and By Programme sind schlicht Werbung und stammen ja nicht von Nokia. Kann man also beim Entwickler downloaden/kaufen.

Okay, Nokia war ja eh schon immer relativ gut in der Akku-Ausdauer bei seinen Geräten. Und wer ein sorglos-Paket mag, ist mit Series40 sicher gut bedient.
Aber auch Series60 ist nicht langsamer und weniger ausdauernd, wenn man noch andere Hersteller mit zu nimmt. Mein 6600 hält locker 3 Tage und das ist für diesen Funktionsumfang etc. ein sehr guter Wert, wenn mann mal die quasi null-ausgestatteten Samsungs dazu vergleicht.

Was mich an den Series40 Geräten am meisten stört, hat weniger mit der Software zu tun, sondern liegt eher an der bescheidenen Verarbeitung und Verwendung zu kleiner Displays (okay vielen reichts sicher).
