The Nokia 6086: Compelling features and seamless connectivity

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - At Nokia's annual Capital Market Days taking place in Amsterdam today, Nokia unveiled its latest multimode UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) handset, the Nokia 6086, allowing consumers to stay in touch - in any environment. Designed for consumers who strive for simplicity and value for money, the quad-band GSM and UMA-enabled cameraphone hides its sophisticated circuitry within a classic design with a large keypad and intuitive user menu. The Nokia 6086 is expected to begin shipping during the first quarter of 2007 with an anticipated retail price of 200 before subsidies or taxes.

Other standard features of the Nokia 6086 phone include:

- VGA camera with 4X digital zoom
- 6MB free user memory and microSD slot to enable storage of your favorite music
- Up to 5 hours of talk time, 10 days of standby

With UMA technology, the Nokia 6086 benefits operators as well, allowing them to deliver voice and data services to their subscriber base over WLAN, decreasing their costs related to network deployment and dramatically increasing mobile service availability.

Orange will be one of the first operators to offer the Nokia 6086 phone. The handset will be added to Orange's Unik (UMA) offer which was announced in September and has been launched in France, the Netherlands, UK and soon in Spain and Poland.

UMA is a cost-effective way to expand cellular for operators to expand their coverage for voice and data services to homes and enterprises where it might be too difficult or expensive to build cellular coverage indoors. While consumers reap the benefits of better indoor coverage using a a single number, UMA allows operators to fully leverage their cellular assets via alternative radio methods.

Ja, habe mit ihm gesprochen (bin dort Beta Tester) und ich habe auch eine registrierte Version auf meinem N73. Wie gesagt, sie arbeiten daran. Momentan haben sie aber noch keine Lösung warum es auf dem N73 nicht funktioniert (auf dem E61 soll es ja gehen)!

Beim N73 funktioniert nur die Erinnerung via Ton, Vibra oder blinken der Tastaturbeleuchtung. Das LED aber (noch) nicht!

Die Unterstützung des blauen LEDs bei RemindMe funktioniert auf meinem N73 (noch) nicht, aber die Programmierer von MobiFunSoft arbeiten daran!

Die "eingebaute" Uhr ist für mich wegen einer Sehbehinderung sehr schlecht ablesbar (die Größe ginge gerade noch so, aber die Schrifttype ist eine Katastrophe).

Es muß mindestens 1 Minute sein

1 Tag ist schon etwas wenig. Ich komme auf ca. 3-4 Tage (UMTS abgeschaltet).
