Offenbar ist die Ankündigung tatsächlich interpretationsbedürftig. Ich hab ein S60-Gerät (E72) mit Google Apps laufen und werde auf jedem Fall hier berichten, ob es nach dem 31.01.2013 noch funzt.

Also nochmal. Ich verstehe die End-of-Life-Ansage von Google so, daß EAS für Nokia MfE generell nicht mehr unterstützt wird.

Nein. Das Protokoll EAS (Unterstützung für Nokia MfE auf S60) wird komplett gecancelt. So stands jedenfalls m.W. bei Google.

Eine nicht mehr ganz taufrische Lösung fällt mir eben noch ein: Die Siemens Homestation resp. deren Ösi-Pendant, Siemens 2phone. Das sind Überleiteinrichtungen, die mit einem Siemens der 25er, 35er oder 45er Reihe betreiben werden, und einen TAE-Port zum Anschluß eines beliebigen Analogtelephons zur Verfügung stellen. Hatte ich auch mal im Einsatz, ist aber schon Jahre her.
