Ein Bekannter konnte mir die Infos geben:
As spotet on PocketNow, one of the HP representatives shared there is a new device being released in the June/July timeframe with the following features:
* It will be the 2200 Series
* Integrated Compact Flash and SDIO slot (Finally!)
* 400MHz XScale Processor
* 16-bit Color with Transreflective TFT
* Built in Bluetooth
* Slightly larger than 1900 series from a thickness and screen but not by much (it was very light)
* Base model will come with 64MB Ram and a higher model will come with 128MB Ram, I did not get a chance to ask about ROM
* There is a replaceable battery
* It will offer both Landscape and Standard view without a soft reset!
* Black grips on the side for a very secure hold
* They did not integrate 802.11 because an SDIO card is due in June/July that will provide this functionality
* It will run on the new Microsoft operating system (this is the reason for the release date in June/July)
* It will not fit existing accessories
* A future model will have a keyboard that slides from the back and automatically changes the view to Landscape (it was described as coming from the right side of the iPaq)
* A phone option should be available “in the future”
* It will be between $300-$400 but expect it just under $400

Hatte auch schon einmal daran gedacht, aber nichts richtiges dazu gefunden.
Wäre aber sehr praktisch - vor allem E-Mail Abruf vom Sofa aus via Blueooth 
Wär wirklich klasse wenn jemand was zum Thema weiß!

Da die Programme alle noch nicht sonderlich für den XScale optimiert sind, gibt es kaum Unterschiede.
Würde aber dennoch zu einem 400er raten, ist meist nicht so viel teurer und eben aktueller Stand der Dinge.
Sonst beisst du dir nachher in den Allerwertesten wenn der 200er doch einmal zu langsam sein sollte

Es gibt ein kleines Linux das kommt ins Flash ROM, ist aber nicht sehr viel bei, und ein großes mit KDE und allem, braucht aber 300 MB, kannst du aber dafür sogar einen Bootmanager verwenden!

Ich denke mal bei der Software werden sie nichts sagen - hat 1) nichts mit der Taste zu tun und 2) wollen sie ja (hoffentlich) zufriedene Kunden...
Wieso sollten sie also nicht kulant sein?
Außerdem: Update ist ja nicht illegal!
Oder würden Entwickler keine Garantie mehr bekommen??

soweit ich weiß werden die Bilder nur auf dem Display anders skaliert?
Die Datei selber veränderst du ja nicht!

naja, ich denke ein Fingerabdruckscanner wie bei neuen PocketPCs wäre effizienter.

iPAQ 3970 hat BlueTooth integriert:

DER hat sogar WLAN integriert, aber ist wieder eine Spur teuer.
Evtl. interessiert dich auch der Dell, nicht so teuer und lässt sich einfach mit einer CF Karte nachrüsten klick

Du musst das Update starten, Handy abschalten, Handy anschalten und wenn es im PIN Eingabefeld ist den Updatevorgang noch einmal bestatigen (glaube so war das).
Aber wenn du Probleme hast, geh lieber zum ServicePartner - kostet nichts und ist auf jeden Fall besser als ewig zu probieren.
