Ich habe meinen Dyndns-Account bei selfhost.de auf die IPv4-Adresse 0.0.0.0 konfiguriert. Nach außen hin kann man diese natürlich nicht darstellen, weil sie im Internet nicht existiert.
Das ist nicht mein Bereich

Man könnte jetzt per Telnet mit einem SMTP-Server unter dummy-smtp.selfhost.de sprechen. Alles also angreifbar, es muss abgesichert werden. Vielleicht wurde Faxenbook ja angegriffen (halte ich für weniger wahrscheinlich) oder aber man hat es durch irgendwelche Konfigurationsfehler vom IPv4-Internet abgeklemmt.
Alles anzeigenGlaube ich ja auch, dass das so abläuft. Aber warum wird uns das Internet zur Hälfte vorenthalten, indem wir nicht wie z. B. per SIP zu SIP selbst einen Server betreiben und das Chatprogramm dann nur die Koordination übernimmt, ähnlich wie bei DynDNS realisiert?

Wenn ich die Option '-6' setze und damit six erzwinge, schlägt der unter Linux so genannte 'traceroute'-Befehl fehl.
Man beachte die schicke IPv6-Adresse, die sich Facebook gemopst oder in seiner _IP gegeben hat.
ad 1) das Kind heißt XMPP / Jabber
ad 2) nach dem Prefix bist du in der IPv6 wahl frei.... du könntest auch ::::face:b00c:: mit deinem prefix dir selber zuteilen

Jetzt brennen mir die Augen und morgen klingelt der Wecker um 06:30. Einen Job bei Facebook werde ich so höchstwahrscheinlich nicht bekommen. Morgen bin ich in meiner Arbeit im Bürobereich eingeplant (arbeite sonst im (gewerblich-)Technischen). Vielleicht setze ich dann die Diskussion über SFTP mit meinem Bekannten, der in die andere Abteilung gewechselt ist, fort.
