Sehr lesenswerte Homepage.
EDIT:
In England ist i-mode ebenfalls ein Erfolg:
ZitatAlles anzeigenAlthough last week DoCoMo Chief Executive Nakamura said that the center of activity going forward will be Asia it would have bought a warm glow into DoCoMo HQ to hear UK partner O2's good news that it has signed up 250,000 subscribers to its i-mode service in less than seven months, making it "the fastest growing i-mode provider outside of Japan".
O2 launched i-mode in September 2005 and O2 says that 75% of subscribers use i-mode to make at least one data connection a month, and added that users of i-mode generally spend twice as long online as users of its traditional WAP portal, O2 Active.
Grahame Riddell, Head of Content Marketing at O2 said that subscriber numbers are growing fast, and that growth is being driven by the content providers who are making the fullest use of i-mode’s features.
"In particular, sites that have implemented i-mail have attracted more subscribers than those who haven't – clear evidence that the ability of content providers to establish unique one-to-one relationships with their customers has a positive impact on their revenues. We already know some of the developments that NTT DoCoMo is planning for the future, so we are looking at areas such as RSS feeds and IM as part of the service in the future."
O2 says the sites attracting the biggest numbers of users and subscribers are chat sites and sports sites, and that established online brands such as Filmnight are seeing substantially more traffic on i-mode than they are on other WAP services.
Which raised the question of what has gone wrong at Telstra, DoCoMo's Australian i-mode partner, which has about the same number of i-mode subscribers some 15 months after the hard launch and more than 18 months after their soft launch.
